London Independent filmfest awards Iran animation ‘The Servant’

Iranian animation ‘The Servant’ has won an award at the 14th London Independent Film Festival in the UK.

Directed by Farnoush Abedi, the animation tells the tale of a giant cockroach who gets tired of his servitude to man.

‘The Servant’ previously won the Best Animation award at the 33rd Tehran International Short Film Festival held on 8-14 November 2016 in Tehran.

LIFF is committed to the independent filmmaker. The organizers give special attention to the screening of films by first and second time directors, films shot with budgets under $150,000 US and quality films that - for whatever reason - are unlikely to receive distribution through other channels.

Shortwave Cinema will be the main host of the 2017 London Independent Film Festival.
